Massage therapy did help my foot pain

Filed under: Health and Fitness — admin @ 5:36 am

For weeks I had unbearable pain at the bottom my feet. It was a pain like nothing I have ever experienced, and I tried many things to ease the pain. I saw my doctor and he diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis. I wasn’t sure what it was so my doctor explained to me that it was painful inflammation at the bottom of my feet. It was a type of dull ache that lasted all day, and he gave me some tips on getting some relief. First he told me to soak my feet in Epson salt, freeze a plastic water bottle and roll them with my feet, relax, and buy special shoes. I was also advised to try massage therapy as a plantar fasciitis treatment, but with my pain I couldn’t imagine somebody rubbing where the plantar fasciitis is. I was skeptical of the doctors recommendations, but I did find relief and I’m able to maintain an active lifestyle even with plantar fasciitis.
