People that trade penny stocks like to try to become as knowledgeable as they can. A good way to become more proficient as a trader is to look at and learn from other trader’s mistakes. Most people are not too excited at the thought of making their mishaps public, but some penny stock traders do so in the form of a blog.
Penny stock blogs are often promotional in nature. Penny stock newsletter sites are not quite the same as blogs. They all have some sort of motive to get you to buy something they sell or recommend. That is fine. The key is to be able to gain some valuable information from them. When they make a post about how they lost money on a certain trade, try to examine the post and see if you can avoid making that same type of mistake in your own trading exploits.
Some bloggers go the route of being (or attempting to be) controversial. They post about the shortcomings or ill fated dealings of others in the penny stock industry. This helps them become popular, but doesn’t necessarily mean they have valuable information to share. Many of them are simply more interested in spreading gossip.
